Job Title: General Manager, Business Development and Relationship Management

Location: Lagos

Job Description

Candidate will be expected to:

  • Provide leadership for the Business Development team in management of new accounts/opportunities.
  • Be responsible for managing a team of market research, business research, client database building & management, Business opportunity analysis, Lead generation etc.

Relationship Management:

  • Oversee a portfolio of clients and proactively develop, manage, and enhance long-term client relationships at senior levels.
  • Serve as an escalation point to internal teams and clients, maintaining a sense of urgency for all client deliverables and escalations.
  • Provide leadership to staff on all aspects of strategy and delivery including talent management and coaching, process excellence, relationship management skills, communications, and presentation skills.
  • Meet or exceed predetermined client satisfaction rates, revenue objectives, and profitability targets.
  • Effectively collaborate with sales, strategy, technology and related teams.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Post graduate qualification will be an added advantage.
  • 4+ years of related experience ICT and/or multi-channel marketing environment.

Experience:

  • Experience leading high-performance delivery teams in clients’ account management, strategy, and technology within a matrix organization.
  • Excellent C-level client relationship skills.
  • Proven track record of successfully growing revenue while maintaining required profitability metrics.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • A deep understanding of multi-channel, telecoms and ICT marketing, marketing strategy and technology and ability to drive development of strategies and key deliverables.
  • Outstanding client and team leadership skills.
  • History of managing teams in multiple locations where a high level of collaboration is required.
  • Proven track record of functioning as a key client advocate internally and externally, anticipating and resolving problems with the client and managing the performance of internal delivery resources.

Age:

  • Not above 33 years of age.
